Kai Xuwicha knows he's got his hands full.

Work is scarce and he can't afford to be choosy about which jobs to
take. When you're crewing a stolen Republican gunship with a group
of fugitive ex-super soldiers, jobs that pay cash immediately move
to the top of the list.

The repressive government they fled has never stopped looking for
its wayward sons, though, and when the crew of the Vigilant takes
on a particularly risky assignment, it's just the sort of activity likely
to cast a spotlight on their whereabouts.

Dwindling supplies, a problematic cargo and with the government hot
on their heels, it's not a good time for Kai's personal demons to
surface.
